Just wanted to say hi.

Last year I studied Heathenry off and on. This year I am resolved to not only study it, but actually live it!

Not too many Heathens on here, it seems. Oh well. See you around.

Good for you! Too many never get to the "DO" part of Our Way. Most lists have been slow the last yr or so, mainly due to the popularity(which I don't Understand) of the "MySpaceBooks".
Personally, this yr I've decided to do more experiential/experimental Heathenry than what I've been doing mostly for the last 21 yrs, basically Blot and Sumbel.
Cheers,
Pat

I used to be a member of Troth during the '90's' but didn't like the politics. I hear it's gotten better, more Lore-less "Berzerley Politics". Haven't cared for most "MySpaceBook" stuff since it's Parrot-stuff, basically choruses of "Me Too! Me Too!" instead of actual discussions. I have a Facebook acct simply for my Partner's friends to contact us.
Though I've gotten "teased" by some friensds as "Going Pagan", I think as long as what you do is Lore-based you're on Soil Ground. One BIG problem in Heathenry is that we have too many Kings with obsessions of Kingdoms and less of the "Elder in the Woods" focusing on the Spiritual needs of Individuals and their lives. As IF th Ancestors only lived in large groups. Those who lived alone because of situation of job certianly didn't hand in their Hammers;>.....
'Course what mostly survived was the Rites of the Upper Classes in Nordic Society and what folks in "The Big House" did was/is usually very different than what those in more Humble quarters did. So WHY do so many modern Heathens think that the WOrking folks did the same things as the Trumps and such do compared to their own lives?
Cheers,
Pat

Some things never change. I remembering asking the then head of the AE if HE had enough folks to run his Symbel "properly". The Silence was deafening;>

Wæs þú hál, Gárandhamor.

Study is good but it will only get you so far. You have to practice before you 'get it'. Deed must follow word because if it doesn't, then it is only so much hot air.

Enjoy the experience.
